Well the dollar is back up against the euro not its only a dollar 55 to the euro and not a dollar 60, whoop dee doo. Unfortunately gas prices are still really really bad, putting $30 in the tank now gets me nowhere its used to last me quite sometime but now i get all of 7 and a half gallons seriously ridiculous. I’m legitimitly considering investing in a mo-ped or just a nice road bike. Cause a car is becoming not worth it. Ya I’m done talking about this now.

Seriously, its really really hot out, for the past few day its been averaging 95, that is not right. This is new england it does not get that hot here in June for that long. Its just not right. I had to go and work out in the blistering sun yesterday for several hours after school, it was not too pleasant. On the up side however it is great swimming weather, the river, bombin! Oh but on a negative schools are getting half days because its so hot, but we have to be here all day! that is not right. I dont care if we have A/C, firstly its only in the middle school, chem lab and band room, so if you don’t have chem or band every period and your in the high school then you have to suffer. Lets just go home, thats my vote anyway. But oh well we only have a week left, but finals are going to suck in this weather not gonna lie. end not: Its still hot out

As the school year comes to a close the latest rage that you can see on almost every computer screen are Icy Tower and Quake 3. Both games are accessible on all computers and are really rather entertaining. Now these video games do have educational value as well. Icy tower teaches strategy and hand eye coordination. Both very valuable skill in life. Quake 3 teaches strategy, military skills and lets kids take out their bent up aggresion that they would otherwise have to express in someother manner. I have personaly played both games and find them quite enjoyable. So thats it for me today and I suggest checking out those games, Icey Tower has a great soundtrack.

When the clock strikes 10:45,

All I can speak in is rhythm and rhyme.

Tick Tick Tick goes the sound in my head

And I realize quite frankly time is not dead,

When I look around me it is all quite clear

Its all stopped cold, the time which I’ve held so dear.

I take a walk in the fields and meadows which are all so still

And fight my passions to cry out in a shrill

A shrill that would doubtlessly break this pause in the line

For this above all, before anything, do I so pine

I give in and let out a roar, a banshee scream

Enough to vanquish this shadow of a dream.

The Time she comes crashing down

All the whirling and swirling I thought I might drown.

The time racing to where it ought to be

But its missed its mark as far as I can see

Ages of men come whizzing by

And I so hope that the end is nigh

Empires rise and fall

The sun flashing before my eyes like a great red ball

Cities rising from the ground to dust

And then it all stops with a great gust

A torrent that should have ripped me to shreads

“Oh what will come next?” the thought every man dreads

I open my eyes to see what had come

The sight had made my skin grow numb.

Nothingness.

The time had swept over all the years

Hopkins Academy 2008 junior election

This year is a big year for our class as elections go. The other day we had a tence voting between Katie brewer, Diana West and highly anticipated write in Jacob Goldman. Brewer would be the vote leader by the end of the day and so taking the coveted position student council President. Next up on the ballot list in the student government regular election, including class officers, secretary treasurer, VP, and President. Running for those positions are current treasurer Brenna Eagan running unopposed for the same position, good luck to her. For the secretary spot is once more Katie Brewer, if re-elected she will be the longest running secretary the junior class has ever known. For the VP position we have our first contest, running are incubment vice president Jared Hayes, new comer hopeful Zachary Hunter, and previous runner for the spot Michelle Morin. And finally for the President position we have two runners vying for the all important position; These two are long running president Denise Barstow and to be write in Nick Mckenna. Prior to not long ago Barstow ran unopposed but then Mckenna came out with his bid for campaign. Unfortunately for Mckenna he put his name in slightly too latet and is forced to run a hard campaign to get enough votes on the write-in vote. The campaign season is hot and final remarks by the election hopefuls will be made sometime in the near future. So make the right decision this campaign season.

a word a word whats in a word!?

Well letters of course.

No no no i mean more than that, I mean what is meant by the words. The various ingredients that people put into words that can make then so powerful or so deadly.

OOOoooo i Seeee….. umm you lost me.

When people say words you know how a single word can mean a thousand different things. Like yes for instance, a word that technically means a confirmation of fact; yes-no, up-down, good-evil. But one can use it to mean so many things. Its all about what you put in it.

Oh you mean like witch hazel, witch nuts, witch guts and witch butts. hehehe but.

ugh!! You know you are impossible!

Nope just an unlikely improbability, yup thats me. Lets go outside its nice!!!

I was trying to have a discussion here.

But but but, i wanna go out, PLEEAAASE.

Oh don’t give me those eyes. Fine we’ll go outside, but first answer me this question first; Why is it that metaphors of a 17 year olds left and right sides of the brain have to agree to go outside?

Wheat factory

Hadley is to be the new home for wheat in the valley, brought to you by Al Z. If you dont know who Al Z is well he is an amazing guy who lives just down the way from the school and you can probably see his barns just on the corner across the soccer field. Oh and if there is anyone who is looking for some work this summer come see me, the jobs at the farm pay well, convegnient hours and free food. Any way back to the wheat, due to the recent food shortage and prices going up it has been harder to ship food from far away. So in turn producing needed food good right here in the valley will be a major boost and it is all organic as a plus. Thats it for today if you have any questions come and ask me.

yet another day…. again

Today has been a rather odd day as of yet. I dont know exactly what it is but regular interaction has been just, different today. Its like i’m only half here-ish. just going through the motions of the day with out taking too much notice of anything. Another weird thing has been that i think that I have been having olfactory halucinations, like smelling things that arent really there. I’m a little freaked out by it, but just a little. Things smelt: poo (an odd one), onions, (in my car which was wierd), hotdogs (this one mostly because it was the most accurate discription because there wasnt anything that i could categorize it as), and several other things which i have yet to categorize. Yup today is giong to be a very odd day.

Several unrelated things:
I have work today, the first time in months!! money yay!!
I get my first kilt either today or tomorow
